Primary Purpose:
The position's primary task will be conducting student and employee relations investigations related to allegations of policy violations. As a lead
investigator, the position will be expected to carry a full investigation caseload. This position will identify the investigation scope, sources, and
investigative actions. This position will plan, schedule, and conduct effective interviews of complainants, respondents, and witnesses. This position
will also be responsible for employee relations training related to new employee orientation and other standardized training programs and initiatives.
Qualifications (Education/Certification/Experience):
Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field plus four (4) years of human
resources, school administration, or investigatatory experience.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Carry a full investigation caseload as a lead investigator.
2. Identify investigation scope, sources, and investigative actions.
3. Plan, schedule, and conduct effective interviews of complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
4. Gather and review relevant evidence and records.
5. Analyze information collected from witnesses and evidence and reach timely and unbiased conclusions and findings.
6. Create professional, well-drafted investigation records, including investigation plans and reports within procedural guidelines.
7. Demonstrated ability to learn and fairly apply company policy, internal HR procedures, investigation procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
8. Prepare and maintain accurate logs and complete reports and other documentation relating to investigations.
9. Maintain confidentiality and organization of files of investigations conducted and information received.
10. Follow the Educator Code of Conduct & all policies, procedures, laws, and State/Federal regulations.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to demonstrate strong internal and external support for PfISD ISD
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
Knowledge of the techniques, methods, and procedures used in gathering information and evidence and conducting investigations
Knowledge of federal, state, local, and district laws, policies, and procedures
Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate available resources
Knowledge and understanding of the change process, organizational development, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
Proficiency in the use of computers and software applications, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands):
Prolonged use of computer; must be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry at least 20 lbs.
