Campus Facilitator - Title I

Primary Purpose:
Supports students to ensure that they are able to successfully immerse themselves into the middle school experience, while relating to their fellow
students and staff in healthy and positive ways. Provides leadership to the school and works collaboratively with all staff in the development,
implementation and continuous improvement of school-wide student behavioral support systems to ensure the day-to-day life of the school reflects the
school’s mission and values.
Program Funds Consideration: Funding for this position is contingent upon the Title I, Part A Program and its coordination to the individual campus
needs assessment. The position may be funded on a year-to-year basis based on the campus needs assessment and availability of supplemental
funds.
Qualifications (Education/Certification/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate. Minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Promote school-wide development of an equitable, accessible, and inclusive school community.
2. Coordinate the work of the Restorative Practice Implementation Team and act as the liaison between the Restorative Practice Implementation
Team and campus administration.
3. Provide leadership in implementing school-wide restorative practices, including training and support for staff and faculty members, students,
and families.
4. Facilitate community building/strengthening circles and assist staff and faculty in facilitating community-building circles by providing training
and ongoing support.
5. Coordinate peer-led programming including mediation and/or circle-keeping.
6. Refer students to appropriate school staff based on outcomes of restorative circles or conferences (e.g., school counselor, social worker,
administrator).
7. Engage students, families, and faculty/staff in restorative processes.
8. Collaborate with teachers, school mental health professionals, and other school staff to engage students in community-building and the
restorative process.
9. Work with students, families, staff, and faculty using an anti-racist, culturally-responsive approach.
10. Use data to assess and improve programming and outcomes for students.
11. Support student involvement in school-wide community-building events, including coordinating student-led workshops.
12. Work with School Counselors to promote social-emotional learning for all students, including through classroom curriculum.
13. Support and/or coordinate the activities of student affinity groups and clubs.
14. Liaison with Student Council.
15. Participate in or lead school-based teams as appropriate.
16. Engage in ongoing professional learning/development in Restorative Practices.
17. Provide recommendations and feedback to Administrative Team about best practices in restorative practices implementation.
18. Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community.
19. Follow the Educator Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures, laws, and State/Federal regulations.
20. Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, guidelines and procedures
- Skill in analyzing data and using data tools
- Skill in working with various forms of equipment including, but not limited to, personal computers, calculators, projectors, and printers
- Skill in working with computer tools, including but not limited to email, internet, word processing, and spreadsheets
