POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Technician to support our growing Quality team. In this role, you will focus primarily on performing dimensional and visual inspections using precision metrology equipment, assisting with document control activities, process inspections, and helping maintain the organization’s training systems. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of product and process quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other precision instruments.

  • Independently interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications to verify product conformance and identify potential issues. Analyze and document inspection results, nonconformances, and rework actions with a high degree of accuracy; recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Actively support and participate in root cause investigations, including data analysis, trend identification, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Assist with maintaining controlled documents, ensuring proper revision control and distribution.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of procedures, work instructions, and quality records. Help ensure compliance with internal document control policies and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc., if applicable).
  • Assist in maintaining employee training records and tracking training requirements.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and ensure timely completion of mandatory training.
  • Support audits by providing documentation related to training compliance.
  • Oversee and coordinate calibration activities for tools and equipment, including vendor management, scheduling, and maintenance of calibration records.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in quality, manufacturing, or metrology preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection role.
  • Strong working knowledge of metrology tools, inspection techniques, and measurement systems analysis (MSA) concepts.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with document control systems and training record management required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal.

OTHER RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience with ISO 9001:2015

2. Experience working with SAP ERP system

3. Facilitator/team training.

4. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control techniques.

5. Equipment calibration techniques.

6. ASQ certification, preferred

7. Evaluation of product loss data.
