Job Description:
- Operates production equipment; responsible for manufacturing and assembly of industrial products.
- Cuts, prepares and packages materials for shipment.
- Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing/industrial field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Certifications/Requirements: Hazardous Materials
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-3 years of related experience in an industrial job shop environment.
- Understanding of simple mechanics, lifting devices and material handling is required.
- Must possess the ability to use simple hand tools.
- Must be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter and highly adaptable to address rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the following is a plus:
- The use of torches and compressed gases
- Experience in carpentry/woodworking.
Housekeeping: Keeps area clean and puts tools away
