Job Overview
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting Students and Customers: Welcome guests and check in students, accept payments, answer any questions regarding lessons
- Answering phone calls: Answer, screen, and forward phone calls to the proper person or answer customer/student questions.
- Manage Small Retail section: Pfabe’s has a small collection of student based accessories like music books and reeds. Responsible for ringing up sales and keeping
- Lesson scheduling and cancellations: Signing up new students for music lessons, tracking and informing teachers of cancellations and changes, notifying students of teacher cancellations.
- Maintaining reception area and general space: Keeping reception area clear and organized. Ensuring common areas are tidy.
- Aiding in office admin tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, patience, and the ability to solve problems. They should also be able to adapt to changes and be resourceful when answering customer questions.
Pfabe’s Music Academy’s mission is to strengthen families through music education. Pfabe’s has been a part of the Lake County community since 1946. The focus of Pfabe’s has shifted over the years from a full retail music store to primarily an academy of music lessons.
Shifts vary based on staff schedules. Monday-Saturday. Saturday availability is required.
Store/Academy Hours:
Monday - Friday 12-8
Saturday 10-6
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service or client support roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with office environments and basic administrative tasks.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
- Experience in sales or client services is an advantage but not mandatory.
