Gallery Assistant
Position Overview:
PFA Gallery is seeking a motivated and engaged individual to join our team as a Gallery Assistant. The Gallery Assistant will support daily operations, engage directly with artists, collectors, and visitors, and contribute meaningfully to the gallery's exhibitions and programming.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on artworks, artists, and market trends to support curatorial and sales activities
- Assist with comprehensive inventory management, including cataloguing, condition reporting, and database maintenance
- Provide essential support during gallery events, exhibition openings, receptions, and public programs
- Maintain gallery spaces to the highest professional standards, ensuring a welcoming and meticulously presented environment
- Engage thoughtfully with visitors, offering informed perspectives on artists, artworks, current exhibitions, and forthcoming programming
- Execute administrative tasks including correspondence, scheduling, archival organization, and operational support
- Contribute to digital content creation, social media strategy, and online presence as needed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned in support of gallery initiatives

Qualifications:
- Demonstrable passion for contemporary art and a sincere interest in gallery operations and the broader art ecosystem
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, professional team environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and organizational capacity
- Comfort and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment with shifting priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and art market databases (Artsy, Artnet) is highly desirable
- Previous experience in galleries, museums, or arts organizations is advantageous but not required

Schedule & Commitment:
The standard schedule is Saturdays, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (7 hours per week). Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate exhibition openings, special events, or programming, all of which will be communicated and scheduled in advance.
