The Planning Manager is responsible for leading project planning and scheduling efforts across multiple large-scale capital projects. This role oversees the development and execution of integrated project schedules, while managing a team of planners and ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of planners/schedulers across multiple capital projects
- Own and drive Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) from planning through execution
- Partner with project leaders to align schedules, resources, and delivery timelines
- Identify risks, manage critical path, and keep projects on track
- Deliver forecasting, progress tracking, and executive-level reporting
- Ensure integration across Primavera (P6/OPC), cost, and SAP systems
Requirements:
- 7–10 years in project planning/scheduling on large CAPEX projects
- Proven leadership experience managing planning teams
- Strong Primavera P6 / Primavera Cloud expertise
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Track record owning schedules (not just supporting)
