Business Development Specialist - Orlando OR Miami location!
The Business Development Specialist supports growth initiatives by driving business development activities, managing opportunities, and strengthening client relationships. This role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to expand market presence, support revenue growth, and enhance brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Support execution of business development plans and growth initiatives
- Track target accounts, prospects, and market opportunities
- Provide regular updates and reporting on pipeline activity
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate opportunity data and pipeline tracking in CRM
- Monitor deal status, next steps, and engagement activity
- Support reporting dashboards and data integrity efforts
Marketing & Events
- Help increase brand visibility through events, conferences, and industry engagements
- Support campaigns, content initiatives, and client outreach efforts
- Coordinate events and follow-up activities
Proposals & Content Development
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and RFP responses
- Manage submission timelines and maintain proposal materials
- Track outcomes and identify improvement opportunities
Research & Insights
- Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends
- Prepare briefings and support leadership with actionable insights
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with marketing, finance, and operations teams
- Support improvements to tools, processes, and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (preferred)
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, marketing, or related field
- Experience with CRM systems, proposals, and client relationship management
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- CRM platforms and business development tools
- Familiarity with digital marketing and content development (preferred)
Candidate may be located in Orlando or Miami, FL
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
