Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and emergency surgeries.
- Provide critical care for animals in need of immediate medical attention.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Handle animals safely and effectively using appropriate restraint techniques.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
- Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and animal restraint.
- Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
