The Role
Veterinary Technicians at PetVet365 are essential members of the care team. You’ll do more than keep pets safe and comfortable, you’ll help create a calm, Fear Free experience for patients, support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
What You’ll Do
Primary Requirements & Technical Skills
- Surgery & Anesthesia: A top priority for this role is significant experience with surgical preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and recovery.
- Technical Proficiency: Multiple years of experience in the field, including high comfort levels with blood draws, vaccine and medication administration, and accurately filling or transcribing prescriptions.
- Client Communication: We are looking for an outgoing and professional personality. Someone comfortable handling phone calls, educating clients, and clearly communicating discharge instructions and treatment plans.
Administrative & Support Tasks
- Admin Support: The candidate should be cross-trained to perform administrative support tasks, including managing emails, appointment scheduling, client texting, and phone calls.
Preferences & Certification
- Experience: We need candidates with multiple years of experience specifically in a veterinary technician role.
- Certification: Holding an LVT, RVT, or CVT is beneficial, though we will consider any highly experienced candidate.
- Leadership: Prior leadership experience is a significant plus, but not required.
