Position Overview
New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, Connecticut, is a leading specialty and oncology hospital providing advanced, life-saving care through a highly skilled and collaborative team.
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Ensure the cleanliness of the hospital including common areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming hospital and office floors
- Laundry
- Trash collection
- Restocking supplies
- Cleaning hospital grounds including dog walking lot removal of trash, feces and cigarette debris
- Ensuring cages and runs including drains, grates and padding are cleaned daily and as needed
- Reporting any broken equipment or hazardous situations to Hospital Manager or other Supervisor
- Clean public and employee restrooms
- Clean windows weekly to biweekly or as needed to maintain cleanliness
- Other hospital cleaning, maintenance projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
- Must have housekeeping experience
- Preferably with experience in commercial housekeeping
- Able to do tasks that may involve extended periods standing and/or walking
- Must be able to perform some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around sick animals, cleaning chemicals, and unpleasant odors
Schedule:
- Part-Time
- Sunday, Monday, Thursday & Friday from 11am- 5pm
