We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all trailers are in optimal working condition to meet safety standards.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of trailer & truck systems and components to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor-trailer units, including brake systems and hydraulics.
- Repair and maintain farm machinery and equipment as needed.
- Utilize welding techniques to fix structural issues on trailers.
- Operate forklifts safely while moving trailers or equipment within the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each unit.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop environment.
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques with a focus on diesel engines.
- Experience with brake repair systems and hydraulic components.
