Role Description The Marketplace Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY, responsible for overseeing and growing PetsWorld’s presence on online marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, and other eCommerce platforms. Day-to-day tasks include managing product listings, optimizing content and keywords, monitoring pricing and inventory, and ensuring accurate and compelling product information across channels. The role involves analyzing sales and performance data, running promotions and advertising campaigns, and coordinating with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction. The Marketplace Manager will also track competitor activity, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to increase visibility, revenue, and profitability. Regular reporting on marketplace performance and recommendations for continuous improvement are core responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience managing online marketplaces or eCommerce channels, including listing optimization, pricing, and inventory coordination.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, KPIs, and customer insights to drive decisions.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics (SEO for marketplaces, paid ads, promotions) to increase product visibility and sales.
- Proficiency with marketplace dashboards, Excel or Google Sheets, and basic reporting tools.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple SKUs, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in consumer products, pet care, or related retail/eCommerce sectors is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY, and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
