Kennel Assistant/ Receptionist

Job Overview

Kennel assistants are responsible for multiple day-to-day to tasks to ensure fun play while maintaining safety standards and the best care for all of our fur babies at Petsville.

• Provide daily care for boarding dogs, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed.
• Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a healthy environment.
• Supervise group and individual playtime while ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs.
• Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, or health and report concerns to management.
• Assist with check-ins and check-outs, ensuring pets are settled comfortably and owners receive excellent customer service.
• Follow all facility safety, cleaning, and animal-handling procedures.
• Work as part of a team to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• A genuine love for dogs and commitment to their well-being.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Comfortable working in a physically active role that includes standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and cleaning.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
• Previous experience with animals is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person.

This job requires attention to detail to ensure that dogs are receiving the best care. Please note kennel assistants are moving throughout the day so this job requires someone that is comfortable standing and moving throughout the day.
