Our technicians play a vital role supporting doctors and working directly with pets and their parents. Your role is a critical component of our medical and surgical team. Registered and licensed technicians are tasked with providing a high-level of patient care and supervising other technical staff.
This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires quick thinking, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to perform under pressure. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills. Empathy is paramount.
Must-Haves:
- Understanding of veterinary medicine, practices and procedures (surgery and clinical)
- Skill: induce and intubate patient for anesthetic procedures
- Skill: Manage anesthetic procedures and patient recovery
- Skill: Administer medications and vaccinations
- Skill: Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture;
- Expert communicator (written and verbal);
- First-in-Class customer service;
- Flexible, willing to perform many job duties within the hospital;
- Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude; and
- The desire to learn more and take the initiative
Nice-to-Haves:
- 2 years of experience as a licensed technician in a veterinary hospital
