Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring dogs’ health and behavior
- Perform dog handling tasks including walking, playing, and socializing to promote good behavior and mental stimulation
- Ensure animal safety through proper restraint techniques and adherence to handling protocols
- Maintain clean and organized kennel areas, including cleaning cages, bedding, and common spaces
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ status and any concerns while delivering excellent customer service
Requirements
- Prior experience in dog training, pet grooming, or animal handling is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or multiple animals
- Strong animal restraint skills to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background preferred
- Familiarity with pet care routines, including feeding schedules and health monitoring
