What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator / Tech (Underground Utilities Construction) position at Petrotech Southeast, Inc.?
Petrotech Southeast is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators / Techniciansto join our environmental / underground utility construction team. The position will be working in various projects throughout the Florida, but primarily in Central Florida.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent or an Associate's Degree
· At least 4 years of previous construction experience preferred, including underground utility construction.
· Valid Driver’s License
· Have a strong work ethic
· Must be physically able to perform job tasks
- Experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.)
· Wear and work in different types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to pass a background screen
Preferred Training/Experience:
· Current OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER Training and/or OSHA 30 -HR Construction Outreach Training
· TWIC and MSHA certification
· First Aid/CPR
· Experience working with environmental contamination in soils and water
· Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to working around heavy equipment operations
Travel: Projects are located throughout the Florida with less than 50% overnight travel. all travel, mobilization, hotel and per diem costs are paid by Petrotech.
