The Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing daily natural gas scheduling activities and midstream revenue accounting functions for Petrolink Energy’s Oklahoma gathering and processing assets. This role ensures accurate gas nominations, confirmations, allocations, and financial settlements while maintaining internal accounting standards. The position serves as a key liaison between commercial operations, field personnel, and accounting to support efficient gas movement, minimize imbalances, and ensure accurate revenue recognition. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling & Nominations (Daily Operations) 25%
Schedule and confirm daily natural gas nominations on pipelines such as ONEOK, NGPL, Enable, and ANR in compliance with NAESB and FERC nomination cycles.
Communicate with pipeline operators, customers, and field teams to coordinate gas flow from production through market delivery.
Monitor daily operational and plant data, manage imbalances, and proactively mitigate risks.
Manage Operational Balancing Agreements (OBAs) to minimize imbalance penalties and ensure proper cost allocation.
Maintain and update scheduling workflows, aligning with actual gas flows.
2. Gas Accounting, Allocations & Revenue 70%
Perform the monthly midstream revenue close process and related analysis.
Reconcile scheduled volumes against actual measurements and pipeline confirmations.
Prepare accurate gas allocations, settlement statements, invoices, process system payments, and journal entries.
Review and apply contract terms for proper revenue recognition and settlement.
Support monthly revenue accruals and perform accrual-to-actual lookbacks.
Document and maintain internal controls; meet closing deadlines.
3. Commercial Support & Compliance 5%
Provide daily and monthly volume, flow, and pipeline constraint reporting to commercial and operations teams.
Support system testing, process improvements, and implementation of new accounting and scheduling software solutions.
Participate in team projects and perform additional duties as needed.
Occasional on-call availability, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays, may be needed to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of progressive experience in natural gas scheduling, midstream accounting, or energy industry operations.
Must be available to support a seven-day-a-week operating schedule, with occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Thorough understanding of interstate/intrastate pipeline EBBs and gas accounting transactions.
Knowledge of Oklahoma gathering and processing systems and operational gas balancing.
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, W Energy) required.
Advanced Excel skills; strong computer and data analysis proficiency.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Scheduling software experience is a plus.
