Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and air brake systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues such as suspension problems, alignment discrepancies, HVAC systems, tire service needs, and electrical system faults.
- Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and troubleshooting documentation for compliance and future reference.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all maintenance work.
Skills
- Diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic troubleshooting, and understanding OEM manuals.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform diagnostics related to transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical systems.
