JOB TITLE: SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (METHODS)

The Senior Project Engineer (Methods) will aid in the successful delivery of projects with defined scope by meeting or exceeding the given project objectives without harm to people, assets or the environment and support Decommissioning Project Managers in execution of project scope.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow the Petrofac Project Management Process in the management and discharge of Project activities
• Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to the Petrofac values, including excellent HSSE and quality performance
• Planning, coordination and control of assigned work and definition of required resources and competences for own people and subcontractors
• Technical management of subcontractor during the development of offshore execution methods, review and approve engineering methods, procedures, and calculations for offshore decommissioning scopes.
• Develop offshore execution methods for decommissioning offshore projects, including nomination of required equipment, concept and detail design of lifting arrangements
• Manage offshore execution activities during execution phase
• Accountable for competently performing assigned project tasks without supervision
• Responsible for maintaining progress against agreed cost and schedule
• Work to the project interface document to maintain the alignment of client and Petrofac processes during the project lifecycle
• Support the risk management process during the project
• Support the development and adherence to the decommissioning business management system

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree qualified, or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in engineering, project preparation and execution of offshore projects
• Offshore construction experience
• Knowledge of project management processes
• The Senior Project Engineer (Methods) will have project engineering experience with responsibility for managing subcontractors and internal engineers
• Ability to challenge in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully with relevant contacts to influence positive decisions and working methods
• Experience in working  across service line / function / region with a high degree of competence
• Supervisory and coaching skills to provide guidance to other engineers
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written with the ability to state key project goals and objectives and present them clearly to the project team and stakeholders
