Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to assess collision damage, including auto estimating for repairs such as bodywork, paint, and structural repairs.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software, ensuring accuracy and transparency for customers and insurance companies.
- Assist in managing daily shop operations, including workflow coordination, parts ordering, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes, answering questions, and guiding clients through the estimate and repair journey.
- Support the management team in overseeing staff performance, training new team members on auto service procedures, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Upsell additional services such as alignments, oil changes, tire services, suspension repairs, brake repairs, and other automotive maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations related to automotive repair, including diesel engine repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, transmissions, and more.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience with a strong background in auto estimating and collision repair.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with service writing, auto estimating software, and automotive repair processes.
- Familiarity with a wide range of automotive repairs including oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, diesel engines, shocks & struts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
