Earning Potential
Beginner: After 1 year experience, reasonable pay expectations if meeting plan is Base Pay additional $1,000 in earned commission/bonus per month.
Experienced: 5 years’ experience, reasonable pay expectations if meeting plan is Base Pay additional $2,500-$5,000 in earned commission/bonus per month or more depending on sales performance.
Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative sells our fuel card program to commercial businesses nationwide. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and an effective communicator who is adept at quickly building rapport. This position is remote (with company approval of residence location).
Key Responsibilities
- Promote fuel card program to new and existing customers via cold calls and maintain opportunities in CRM and Salesforce.
- Follow the sales process from start to finish including application processing.
- Collaborate with assigned account manager responsible for the customer account while this role focuses on new business prospects.
- Communicate with customers and employees at various levels of management through a variety of presentation styles – in-person, phone or online.
- Set realistic sales goals that align with business unit and company objectives.
- Promote and partner with other product line sales representatives for cross-selling.
- Perform special projects as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with business-to-business (B2B) sales and customer service, with transportation or fuel industry experience preferred.
- Strong “hunter” mentality with experience selling to industrial or commercial businesses.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: an outgoing and persuasive personality is key to success.
- Ability to understand customer’s business needs and translate them into recommendations that are presented both verbally and in writing to customers.
- Self-motivated individual with proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with CRM and Salesforce software and systems.
- Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
