HOT FOOD AT JUNEAU PETRO 1, HONSINGER ROAD - COMING SOON! THIS POSITION IS REGULAR FULL-TIME STATUS, BENEFITS ELIGIBLE.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring food preparation and quality control is completed to the highest standards of excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

A. JOB DUTIES

FOOD PREPARATION: Prepares and cooks hot food products in accordance with safety guidelines. Packages, monitors and rotates prepared foods for sale. Prepares food in order to meet daily and weekly customer demands. Prepares products at customer’s request. Cleans designated work area.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provides professional courteous and efficient service at all times while interacting with customers in person and on the phone. The highest level of service is expected.

PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED: Performs a variety of general duties, ordering, restocking products, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and other routine functions.

DRESS CODE: Employees will be given a company uniform to wear while on duty. Employees may wear black or blue jeans or khakis. Clothing must be kept in a clean and neat manner. Employees are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance. Must wear closed toe non-slip shoes.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

Education: High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience: Must have six months of previous work experience preferably in a retail environment. . Must possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to supervisor and coordinate the food preparation staff.

Licensure/Certification: Must possess an Alaska State Food Worker’s Card.

Other Qualifications: Must be 21 years old to work in an environment that sells tobacco products. Incumbent must provide excellent customer service with respect, courtesy and efficiency and must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess the ability to make decisions according to pre-defined guidelines.

Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. This position could require over time.

English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
