Overview
MUST LOVE DOGS! We are seeking LOCAL, dedicated and experienced PET RETAIL Associates and Shift Managers to help manage operations in a small, local, retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and customers.
This role requires knowledge of top pet foods, pet nutrition, pet products, harness suggestions and fittings, and more. Must be positive, proactive and easily approachable by staff and clientele. We are looking for someone who can problem-solve and ensure that store operations run smoothly while meeting sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, etc.
- Implement merchandising strategies and manage pricing to optimize sales performance.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory control processes to minimize shrinkage and ensure product availability.
- Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions and sales reporting.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Pet Supply retail setting as a sales associate or an assistant manager with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are a plus.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and promotional activities within a retail context.
- Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of Pet Supply store operations.
- Strong MERCHANDISING skills required.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain financial integrity within the store.
