As a Production Scheduler you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing production schedules to meet customer demands efficiently while maximizing resources and minimizing costs. Your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain production schedules, ensuring alignment with production capacity, inventory levels, and customer delivery requirements. You will optimize scheduling to improve manufacturability to assist in scrap reductions, minimize overtime and labor productivity. 

Responsibilities

• Capacity planning for projected, forecasted and actual demands
• Develop master schedule to ensure timely shipments
• Assess demand requirements for accuracy to ensure proper demand is in place
• Monitor packaging needs and communicate with Purchasing Agent on needs to align with scheduling demands
• Enhance schedules to minimize manufacturing expenses and ensure equipment readiness
• Track inventory levels, improve inventory turnover, and reduce instances of missed shipments
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to review schedules, optimizing efficiency and inventory levels
• Understand existing constraints to ensure accurate scheduling
• Examine and revise part set-up parameters to enhance scheduling/MRP signals
• Compliance to Limits of Authority approval levels
• Other tasks as directed by management

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field

Experience

• 2 years in production scheduling or production planning within a manufacturing environment or equivalent educational background

• Proficiency in production scheduling software and ERP systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and schedule development
