Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily kennel operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality pet care
- Maintain vaccine schedules, health records, and medical inventory
- Oversee pet grooming, feeding, cleaning, and medication administration according to established protocols
- Assist with veterinary-related tasks such as basic animal health assessments and supporting veterinary technicians or assistants
- Train and mentor kennel staff on proper animal handling techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, vaccinations, and behavioral notes
- Ensure the kennel environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with health regulations through regular inspections
Experience
- Previous kennel or animal care experience, and leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with pet grooming enhances your suitability for this role
- Proven ability to handle animals safely in high-pressure situations while demonstrating compassion and patience
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and perform cleaning tasks efficiently
