What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at PETES TIRE BARNS INC?
Requirements:
• Performs skilled work required to inspect, disassemble, repair, assemble and test all types of automotive services on automobiles, trucks, other vehicles and equipment
• General knowledge for servicing, diagnosing and repair light and heavy-duty trucks
• Diagnose and repair to specifications brakes air and hydraulic and suspension systems
• Perform a road test on vehicles and perform vehicle inspection/courtesy checks
• Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers as necessitated by the work
• Must maintain regular attendance and ability to be at work on time each scheduled workday
Physical Demands:
Exerts 75 to 125 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently reaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishes colors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at knee to come to rest on knee or knees).

Qualifications:
• Driver's License required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Graduate from an automotive or technical school preferred
• ASE certification preferred but not required
