Our client is seeking an detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level professional looking to build on a strong accounting foundation while gaining exposure to inventory, logistics, and revenue recognition in a regulated medical device environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Support revenue recognition processes tied to product sales and shipments
- Track and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Monitor and reconcile shipping, logistics, and fulfillment-related costs
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Qualifications:
- 1–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated industries
- Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Experience with inventory accounting or product-based businesses
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a timely fashion
Salary/Rate: $30-$35/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
