Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machinery including machines that automatically coil, form, stamps, wraps, etc. metal wire and strip following verbal and written instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and maintain quality control standards.
- Perform routine cleaning on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist in fabrication, tooling setup, welding, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes as needed to meet production deadlines.
- At shift start, check the first piece for compliance to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Experience
- Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience with hands-on operation of metal forming machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining techniques, fabrication, and processes.
- Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models; proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers accurately for quality assurance purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machine issues.
