Position Details:
- Preserve and maintain the physical integrity of the apartment community and facilities
- Full-time position in Lawrence, KS
Qualifications:
- Skilled in apartment maintenance including:
- Grounds and pool upkeep
- Appliance repair
- General carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs in both occupied and vacant units including but not limited to:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address proactively
- Resolve/complete work orders in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service
- Troubleshooting and performing routine electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
- General building maintenance including appliance repair, carpentry, painting and landscaping
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area
- Assist with unit make readies
- Assist with maintaining grounds, including pools and snow removal
- Other related tasks as needed at surrounding properties also owned/managed by Peterson Properties Inc.
- Must have minimum of one year of experience in a similar maintenance position for multi-family housing. Compensation based on experience.
- EPA Certification is preferred
- Must have your own basic tools including a smartphone or IPAD
- Physical demands include constant walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
- Time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work
- Successfully complete background and drug screening
- Ability to work an “On Call” rotation – Additional BONUS Pay applies
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
