What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overhead Door Installer/Technician position at Peterson Overhead Door Company?
We are looking for an experienced Installaer/Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of products and systems. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions. The ideal candidate will have experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of various systems, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead doors and operators in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all work orders are properly completed, documented and submitted.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls and provide exceptional customer service at every jobsite.
- Communicate effectively with customers and employees.
- Maintain company vehicle and proper inventory required for day-to-day operations.
- Ability to perform continuous heavy lifting.
- Ability to work at heights up to 18' using ladders and other equipment.
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb and perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
- Safely drive company vehicle to assigned service locations up to an hour away.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and specialized equipment to complete service and installation tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
Experience:
- Door hanging: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
