This position is PRN (As-Needed) within M-F 8am-5pm.

What You Will Do
The Radiology Assistant (RA) is primarily responsible for the safe transport of patients to and from the imaging department and is available to offer assistance to the nurses and technologists in all imaging modalities as needed. The RA provides back up to the clerical coordinators for lunches, meetings, etc. and requires basic understanding of clerical check in processes.
Preferred Education
High School graduate or equivalent
Required Skills
Knowledge of safe patient handling skills
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
CPR
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification
CNA or other healthcare related license
Preferred Experience
Previous customer service experience

Preferred Education
High School graduate or equivalent
Required Skills
- Greets and assist radiology patients in a timely, efficient and courteous manner.
- Excellent transport skills
- Performs RA and basic clerical duties essential to Radiology.
- Correctly identifies each patient by two identifiers: Name and Date of Birth.
- Properly communicates with Monitor techs when transporting patients
- Coordinates order of multiple exams with technologists in each modality
- Takes proper care of and cleans patient transport equipment
- Places orders for Maintenance as needed on equipment
Knowledge of safe patient handling skills
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
CPR
