Senior Estimator

Qualifications

· B.S. in engineering or equivalent or has five years progressive experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Competent estimating Underground Wet Utilities, Storm, Sewer, Water projects.

· Proficient with computing costs, calculating figures and amounts that include interest and percentages.

· Negotiated project experience, including technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

· Able to perform all essential Senior Estimator job responsibilities.

· Estimate and establish budgets and contract price.

· Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases.

· Insurances, permits, submittals, RFI’s, USA, staking requests.

· Shop drawing approval and material delivery.

· Maintain the project schedule and budget.

· Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable.

· Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and procedures.

· Develop strong working relationships with clientele and contractors.
