Janitorial Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor to lead our cleaning and maintenance teams in maintaining a pristine, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will oversee daily janitorial operations, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and coordinate cleaning activities to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across multiple areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces
• Train and mentor janitorial staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums
• Oversee the handling of chemical agents safely by following chemical handling safety procedures and maintaining proper storage protocols
• Conduct regular inspections to verify sanitation standards are met and identify areas needing additional attention or maintenance
• Enforce safety protocol adherence among team members, including safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, safety incidents, supply inventories, and equipment maintenance logs
• Collaborate with facilities management to address maintenance issues related to custodial services or building upkeep

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a facilities maintenance or custodial setting is preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and industrial vacuums
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards in commercial or industrial environments
• Experience in heavy lifting and manual handling with a focus on safe lifting practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and facility occupants
• Ability to follow detailed safety protocols while managing multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: $25.00 - $30.10 per hour
