Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options while adhering to beverage recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and food handling regulations.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately through POS systems, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions.
- Provide attentive customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or catering services.
- Assist with banquet service or catering events as needed, demonstrating versatility across food service environments.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; communicate needs for restocking or ordering to management.
- Uphold high standards of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a server or bartender in a restaurant or hospitality setting; fine dining experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with POS systems is essential.
- Demonstrated cocktail experience with skills in beverage recipe development and presentation.
- Familiarity with wine knowledge, craft beer varieties, brewing processes, and beverage trends.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving tables and bartending duties.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude; team-oriented mindset essential for success in hospitality roles.
