Subassembly Technician

*MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AS OUTLINED:

• Responsible for maintaining stock of electro-mechanical sub assemblies and related components i.e. cord sets, assembled handles, gearmotor assemblies, VFD controllers, push buttons, etc.
• Assembles, installs and maintains electronic wiring, and equipment using power and hand tools according to product specifications, schematics and equipment drawings.
• Pre-tests and assembles gearboxes, motors and controller components for compliance with company standards.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, understanding and comprehension of schematics and procedures related to electronics.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Performs a variety of tasks using jigs, tools and equipment such as sanders, drill press, hand drill, screw drivers, wrenches, electrical meters, etc.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Able to diagnose elementary electrical problems.
• General understanding of VFD’s (AC inverters).
• Able to load and unload components using forklift and hand lifts

*SUPPORTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES AS OUTLINED:

• Quality control inspections for Assembly, Machine Shop, Fabrication and Shipping Departments.
• Casting quality inspections- debur, grind, fit and function inspections prior to assembly.
• Door to barrel alignment.
• Safety awareness and reporting.
• Maintain a defined stock level of sub assembled parts.
• Maintains up-to-date procedures for sub assembled parts.
• Communication and coordination of Sub Assembly demands
• Maintenance/Repair of Facility Equipment i.e. forklifts, air compressor, computers, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
