Job Summary
Dental Front Desk Coordinator needed for small private office. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Duties

  • Create a positive rapport with patients and specialty offices
  • Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix software, manage multi-line phone system, scan and fax
  • Verify insurance coverage, update benefits, post correct CPT codes and send claims to insurance with correct documentation
  • Collect patient information, update medical and dental records accurately, and review documentation for completeness
  • Assist patients with referral forms, explain treatment plans, and address inquiries about billing or insurance
  • Process payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances using secure payment systems
  • Maintain organized patient files and office resources
  • Support office management tasks including filing, data entry, recall, coordinating with assistant and hygienist as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a dental front desk coordinator or dental receptionist
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and CPT coding for accurate accounting and billing in a general dental practice
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft
  • Demonstrated ability to perform insurance verification and dental billing procedures efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and familiarity with multi-line phone systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
