Snow Plow Operator

Peter Doran Lawn & Landscaping – Twin Cities Metro Area

Peter Doran Lawn & Landscaping is looking for reliable, experienced Snow Plow Operators to join our winter snow removal team.

We service snow removal routes throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, so operators must be willing to travel to their assigned route and work wherever they are needed.

IMPORTANT SEASON COMMITMENT

Applicants must be willing and able to commit to working snow events from November 1st through April 1st.

Snow does not follow a normal schedule. Snow events may occur during the day, overnight, on weekends, holidays, or with little advance notice.

Being available and showing up when scheduled is an essential requirement of this position.

If you cannot commit to the full snow season or cannot reliably respond to snow events, please do not apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow trucks and other snow removal equipment
  • Plow assigned residential and/or commercial routes
  • Travel to assigned properties throughout the Twin Cities metro area
  • Perform snow removal safely, efficiently, and thoroughly
  • Follow assigned routes and instructions
  • Monitor weather conditions and be prepared to respond when a snow event occurs
  • Communicate with management regarding property conditions or equipment issues
  • Assist with additional snow removal duties as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Dependable and reliable attendance is a must
  • Previous snow plowing experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to operate a truck and plow safely
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area
  • Ability to work in cold, snowy, and changing weather conditions
  • Ability to work extended hours during significant snow events
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
  • Must be able to commit to the full November 1st–April 1st snow season

Competitive Pay Snow Event Incentive

Our snow plow operators are paid through a combination of hourly pay and commission-based pay per property.

We also offer a Snow Event Incentive Pay structure designed to reward employees who stay committed and work through longer snow events.

During extended snow events, after approximately 13–20 hours of work, the hourly compensation increases to $45 per hour. This higher rate is an incentive for our operators who are willing to stay on the job and help us complete routes during major snow events.

In addition to the hourly compensation, operators can earn commission based on the properties they complete. The more efficiently you complete your assigned properties, the greater your earning potential.

We reward the people who show up, work hard, stay through the event, and get the job done.

We Need People We Can Count On

Snow removal is different from a typical job. When a snow event happens, our customers are counting on us to be there.

If you are scheduled for a snow event, we expect you to show up and complete your assigned route. Dependability, communication, and attendance are critical to keeping our customers' properties safe and our routes running properly.

To Apply

Please apply through Indeed with your work history and any previous snow plowing or equipment operating experience.
