Role Description The Food Runner is a full-time, on-site role located in KOP, PA, responsible for supporting smooth service between the kitchen and dining area. Day-to-day tasks include running food from the kitchen to guests’ tables, confirming order accuracy, and presenting dishes in a professional, friendly manner. The Food Runner coordinates with servers and expeditors to ensure timely delivery of food, maintains cleanliness and organization in service stations, and assists with resetting tables as needed. This role also involves answering basic guest questions about menu items, promptly addressing requests, and helping maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Strong food service and food & beverage knowledge, with the ability to learn menu items and dietary considerations.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact courteously and clearly with guests and team members.
• Experience working as an expeditor or in a similar support role in a restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or plates for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in order accuracy, plate presentation, and cleanliness standards.
• Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and following health and safety guidelines.
• Prior food service or hospitality experience is beneficial; training is available for motivated candidates.
