Job Summary: As a Fine Dining Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will manage reservations, handle phone inquiries, assist guests with their needs, and coordinate with servers and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reservations Management: Efficiently handle reservation requests through phone, email, and reservation platforms. Maintain an organized reservation system and update it as needed to reflect real-time availability.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide them with a brief overview of the restaurant’s offerings, and escort them to their tables. Address any special requests or accommodations and ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Phone and Email Handling: Answer incoming phone calls and emails professionally, providing information about the restaurant, menu, and booking procedures. Manage inquiries and resolve issues or pass them to appropriate staff members.
- Seating Coordination: Effectively manage the seating chart to optimize table assignments based on guest preferences, party size, and restaurant flow. Communicate with servers to ensure they are prepared for incoming guests.
- Assisting Servers and Staff: Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service. Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
- Problem Resolution: Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Escalate complex matters to the management team as necessary.
- Maintaining a Welcoming Atmosphere: Ensure the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Assist in maintaining the restaurant’s ambiance and upholding its standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant setting preferred. Prior experience as a host or in a customer service role is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and remain composed under pressure.
- Professionalism: Strong attention to detail and a polished, professional demeanor. Ability to represent the restaurant positively at all times.
- Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
