Summary
· Join Petco’s Veterinary Services Team in providing affordable preventive vet care to pet parents through mobile veterinary clinics in Petco’s Pet Care Centers and other third-party locations
· Be responsible for greeting the pet parents, educating, and recommending services to best protect their pets (vaccines, microchipping, and other services/products) based on the lifestyle assessment
· Deliver superb customer service to pet parents and their dogs and cats
· Promote a culture of service, inclusiveness, and trust for customers and partners
· Assist the Veterinarian in performing safe and accurate services including drawing vaccines, restraining pets, and more
· Lead a field team in performing clinics by providing functional direction to field staff and primary point of contact for partners, vets, or store partner issues
· Be responsible for overall performance and operational compliance of the day’s clinics
· Oversee a local team of veterinary service providers that deliver compassionate vet care with a broad range of affordable, personalized solutions
· Establish and sustain an environment that supports partners in doing their jobs well, ensuring each associate receives the prescribed training and feedback, and meets the required qualifications for their position
· Manage a matrix-like environment to ensure operational goals and customer satisfaction needs are met
*** This is a retail district manager position for our Minnetonka Vetco mobile clinics that requires supervisory skills, strategic planning, organizational prioritization, hiring and training and excellent communication skills upward and down. This candidate will be out in the field with their teams as well as office time and will also provide training and feedback to the Petco store teams.
Minimum Requirements
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check.
· Enjoy working with pet parents and their pets, including dogs and cats of ages, sizes, and breeds
· Work schedules are flexible, but include most weekends
· Experience handling pets in a professional setting (i.e., veterinary hospital, pet store, groomer, shelter, etc.) preferred
· Management experience required. This position directly supervises Clinic Leads, Vet Assistants & Guest Advisors.
