Responsibilities
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Administer medications and treatments following veterinary instructions with precision and care
- Support veterinary technicians with laboratory work, sample collection, and diagnostic testing to aid in accurate diagnosis
- Handle pet care duties including feeding, grooming, and monitoring behavior to promote comfort and well-being
- Support animal handling tasks with dog and cats including walking, feeding and bathing.
Experience
- Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is highly valued
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques is beneficial
- Hands-on experience with medication administration is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care environments enhances your candidacy
- Strong animal handling skills with dogs and cats.
- Excellent communication skills are important for success in this role.
