The Senior Director, Value & Assess will work closely with leadership, account teams, as well as Petauri’s clients, to support strategic initiatives. The Senior Director, Value & Access, will serve as a market access strategy lead for one or more clients.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
Strategic Consulting & Client Engagement
- Provide healthcare-specific expertise to guide strategy and execution across client projects, including prelaunch, biosimilar, and LOE planning.
- Lead payer strategy efforts, representing Petauri’s ACE team in client engagements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Offer timely, ad hoc support to internal and external teams through written deliverables and live interactions.
- Support cross-functional teams in developing and delivering high-impact market access solutions.
- Contribute industry insights to related projects, including education and training for clients and internal teams.
- Conduct advisor interviews to capture market dynamics and translate findings into actionable client recommendations.
- Assist in the design and execution of client workshops and competitive simulations, including role-playing payer or stakeholder perspectives.
- Support new business efforts through research, proposal development, and presentations.
- Create or curate training materials on managed markets and current policy trends.
- Monitor evolving drug coverage trends and provide strategic insights to Petauri’s payer and account leads.
- Represent Petauri at industry meetings, gathering insights to inform client strategies.
- Help account teams with tactical planning and recommend services aligned with client needs.
- Manage priorities across multiple clients and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Other duties as assigned

- Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree (Doctorate degree highly preferred) with a major in pharmacy, nursing, medicine, or life sciences.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a medical or pharmacy management role at a payer organization, health system, integrated delivery system, or comparable experience
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, RPh, PharmD, or MD).
- Experience with Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees, or formulary management within health plans, integrated delivery networks, or organized provider systems.
- Prior payer-side experience collaborating with pharmaceutical manufacturers is highly desirable.
- Recent experience at a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) or health plan is preferred.
- Proven expertise in managing specialty pharmaceuticals across both pharmacy and medical benefits, including oncolytics, rare disease therapies, and other high-cost specialty products.
Technical & Communication Skills
- Proficient in using PowerPoint and Excel, with a strong ability to translate strategic insights into clear, visual formats.
- Comfortable presenting to groups via live meetings or virtual platforms, including web conferencing tools.
- Skilled in interpreting customer needs and overseeing the creation of relevant, high-quality deliverables.
- Able to understand and interpret outputs from analytic and economic models to inform strategy and recommendations.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Works independently or collaboratively within cross-functional teams to drive results.
