The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Asset Management Assistant (Part-Time) to be a cornerstone of our hardware logistics and inventory operations. This essential role supports the expansion of our MSP and IT Support vertical by ensuring our clients receive their configured equipment accurately and promptly.
What You'll Bring
Location: New Paltz, NY (Onsite)
Availability: 9AM to 3PM EST/EDT, Monday to Friday with up to 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Requirements: Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and a high level of availability and flexibility throughout the week. Specifically, you must be available to manage same-day drop-ship requests that arrive before 2:00 PM EST/EDT.

- Familiarity with basic computer hardware components and operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel) for communication and tracking.
- Must pass a full background check.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with O365 and/or Azure.
- Experience with small-to-medium volume shipping and receiving operations.
- Familiarity with asset management systems or inventory tracking.
Core Responsibilities
As our Asset Management Assistant, your work will be vital to our client delivery process, encompassing the following areas:
Inventory and Asset Management
- Maintain and manage an accurate inventory of computer hardware for multiple end clients, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and accessories.
- Oversee the receipt, organization, and recording of all incoming and outgoing hardware.
- Ensure the asset management system is accurately updated to reflect equipment movements, changes, and current status for all clients.
Logistics and Shipping
- Execute all outgoing shipments to clients, ensuring packages are prepared, processed, and delivered accurately and on time.
- Manage the receipt of incoming packages, ensuring prompt and clear notification to the relevant remote team members.
- Coordinate directly with local shipping providers (FedEx/UPS) for logistics and critical same-day drop-shipment requirements.
Quality Control and Configuration Support
- Collaborate remotely with the Support Engineering Team to assist with the physical aspects of configuring and preparing new laptops before shipment.
- Perform pre-shipment quality checks to ensure all equipment is complete and meets our standards.
Team Collaboration & Office Operations
- Work closely with the remote Support Engineering Team through virtual meetings to coordinate tasks, provide status updates, and receive instructions.
- Be available at the New Paltz office to receive time-sensitive packages, communicating advanced notice to the team as needed.
Team & Working Conditions
While we are a remote-first company, this position requires consistent, on-site presence at our New Paltz office, which functions primarily as inventory storage. You will largely be working independently or with our hardware management lead, coordinating with our small, fully remote Support Team members located across the USA, Canada, and India. We provide a company computer and flexibility for taking virtual meetings from home.

Our Hiring Process
Our hiring and onboarding are 100% remote and typically span 2-4 weeks:
- Phone Screen with our Head of Business Operations (15-30 minutes).
- Panel Interview with a Co-Founder, the Support Engineering Manager, and a Senior Support Engineer (30 minutes to 1 hour).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
