- Assist in maintaining Operational Standards/Procedures and ensure adherence to the standards and procedures set at Pet Valu Corporate Standards and the Franchise Store Owner
- Cashier and customer sales and service
- Assist with various administrative and other duties: including: order placement, placement, maintaining inventory, e order placements, maintain appropriate inventory, merchandising, ensuring store general maintenance and cleanliness tasks are completed
- Assist in unloading of deliveries of totes and pet food and supplies and putting into stock. Lifting of up to 50 lbs required
- Other duties and tasks as required
- Minimum of 2 years customer service and retail store experience, including POS systems
- Enthusiasm for learning & growth in pet care industry
- Possess outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
- Ability to work as scheduled to meet attendance requirements, which include weekends and evenings
- Ability to have reliable means of transportation to and from the store
- Willingness to continually learn and adapt to sales techniques and methods for providing excellent customer service. Observe and coach employees to provide feedback around sales techniques and providing excellent customer service
- Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
- Industry experience an asset
- Bilingualism an asset
