What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop your team by setting the example in customer service, sales, and operations
- Drive store performance including retail sales, services, and neighbor engagement
- Analyze results and implement plans to improve productivity and profitability
- Create and manage weekly schedules to maximize team efficiency and coverage
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a fully staffed, high-performing team
- Coach team members through ongoing feedback, training, and development
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-run store environment (animal care, safety, and operations)
- Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures
- Build relationships within the community and support local events and partnerships
- Foster a fun, positive culture centered around pets, people, and teamwork
- Are a hands-on leader who leads by example
- Have a passion for pets, people, and team development
- Are results-driven and motivated by goals and performance
- Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment
- Enjoy building relationships with both your team and the local community
- 2 years of retail leadership or store management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred (High School Diploma/GED required)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Ability to operate store equipment (including forklift, where applicable)
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 65 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation
