Pet Supplies Plus in Florence is looking for a dependable, energetic Shift Lead to join our leadership team!

Our Shift Leads help keep the store running smoothly while creating a great experience for our neighbors, their pets, and our team. This is a hands-on leadership position; you’ll work alongside the team, help set the pace for the shift, solve problems, and make sure the store is ready for our neighbors every day.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the store and team during assigned shifts and help ensure daily tasks are completed
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and help neighbors find the right products for their pets
• Coach team members on customer service, add-on selling, promotions, and building the basket
• Promote store services including Grooming and Self-Wash
• Open and/or close the store, including completing required opening and closing procedures
• Operate registers, assist with cash handling, and help resolve register or customer concerns
• Maintain excellent store conditions through recovery, stocking, cleaning, and merchandising
• Help identify and correct outs, holes, negative on-hands, and other inventory issues
• Receive and work freight while keeping shelves stocked and organized
• Assist with price changes, signage, planograms, promotional displays, and seasonal sets
• Help maintain the health, safety, cleanliness, and proper care of animals in the store
• Delegate tasks and follow up with team members to ensure expectations are completed
• Help train and develop new team members
• Support loss prevention, safety, and company policies
• Communicate important information to the Store Leader and other members of management

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, positive, organized, and comfortable taking charge when needed. Previous retail or leadership experience is a plus, but we are also interested in strong team members who are ready to grow into leadership.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, coaching others, handling multiple priorities, and working around animals of all kinds.

Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, is required.
