Job Summary

Your expertise in pet handling, bathing, and following safety policies for each pet will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Duties
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, brushing, and drying processes
- Perform de-shedding and de-matting to meet client specifications
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic bathing procedures with care and precision
- Restrain dogs gently yet effectively to ensure safety and the well-being of each pet
- Communicate and clearly document any notes, updates, special instructions, and aftercare advice
- Assist with holding, restraints, and special duties as needed to support overall animal care efforts
- Maintain a clean and organized spa, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly throughout the day
- Perform thorough cleaning of spa at end of each day and follow deep cleaning schedule
Experience
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly preferred
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong asset for understanding animal health needs
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to handle animals confidently
- Experience with handling and managing larger or more active dogs
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate animal care while maintaining safety standards
