Compensation: $20 - 25/hr and pay is determined by license, skillset, and experience. Schedule: Full-time, 4 x 10 hour shifts with rotating Saturdays. Here’s a glimpse into how you’ll contribute to our team’s success: Pre-anesthetic prep, induction, monitoring, and recovery Maintain aseptic technique and assist with surgical prep, instrument handling, and post-op care Confidently manage drug classifications, dosages, routes, and contraindications Perform dental charting, cleaning, polishing, and assist in extractions Capture high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning and safety protocols Conduct hematology, urinalysis, cytology, fecal exams, and operate lab equipment Triage patients, assist with CPR (using RECOVER guidelines), and support fluid therapy and pain management Guide pet parents on nutrition, vaccines, parasite control, and chronic disease management Provide clear discharge instructions and communicate with empathy during emotional moments Join us and take advantage of VCA’s nationwide network of hospitals, continuing education opportunities, and a culture that empowers you to do your best work every day.
