Machine Operator: -
Nights Starting at: $18/hr.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an entry level Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading work orders, staging work areas, loading and unloading equipment, sealing boxes or containers carefully to avoid contamination, operating a forklift to move materials, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. The Machine Operator must have attention to detail, be able to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The starting pay rate is $18 per hour.
Shift: 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
General Tasks:
- Reads work orders to determine requirements.
- Stages work area and prepares boxes.
- Load and unload materials into equipment
- Operate Machine control panels
- Safely operate a forklift and move material around the plant with out damaging material or containers.
Skill Requirements
- Ability to read and/or verbally understand and follow directions.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other job-related equipment/machinery.
- Can work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity strength to grab, manipulate or assemble objects.
- Strength to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
- Use of abdominal and lower back muscles continuously over time without fatigue.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
